Splnily se j\u00edm d\u00e1vn\u00e9 sny o spojen\u00ed ostrov\u016f s kontinentem. Tunel dokonce \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011b konkuruje i leteck\u00e9 doprav\u011b a trajekt\u016fm.&nbsp;\u010cESKOV porovn\u00e1n\u00ed se sv\u011btem na\u0161e krajina nen\u00ed p\u0159\u00edzniv\u00e1 pro budov\u00e1n\u00ed dlouh\u00fdch tunel\u016f, a tak nejdel\u0161\u00ed \u017eelezni\u010dn\u00ed B\u0159ezensk\u00fd tunel m\u00e1 d\u00e9lku necel\u00e9 dva kilometry.
